- Hi there - the name is Jim, and I run a small game fishing and tuition business in the West Highlands of Scotland. Its beautiful country, with really wild fly fishing for Salmon Trout and Sea Trout. We also fly fish in the sea for species such as Pollack etc. There's plenty more to do if you are not a fisher, and plenty of accommodation is available. Just visited your Blog pages for the first time....Nice report on your local river..
My son (grown up) and I have booked a day with you in September I just hope there may be a few fish around when we visit your location..I used to fish the Ythan at Newburgh frequently but never encountered anything up to the 2lb mark...it must be the scenery on the west coast or maybe the Malt that attracts them..
I am a member of the local club in Aberdeen but have not yet wet a line yet this year due to work and home pressures...Roll on September..
