Just a quicky - now stopped raining, and the river is now falling steadily. One sea trout caught yesterday - about 2lb. Prospects look excellent for next week. - unless Sammy Seal shows his face !
Just visited your Blog pages for the first time....Nice report on your local river.. My son (grown up) and I have booked a day with you in September I just hope there may be a few fish around when we visit your location..I used to fish the Ythan at Newburgh frequently but never encountered anything up to the 2lb mark...it must be the scenery on the west coast or maybe the Malt that attracts them.. I am a member of the local club in Aberdeen but have not yet wet a line yet this year due to work and home pressures...Roll on September..
Hi there - the name is Jim, and I run a small game fishing and tuition business in the West Highlands of Scotland. Its beautiful country, with really wild fly fishing for Salmon Trout and Sea Trout. We also fly fish in the sea for species such as Pollack etc. There's plenty more to do if you are not a fisher, and plenty of accommodation is available. For details of fishing opportunities visit www.fishmorvern.co.uk , and to contact me direct go to fishmorvern@aol.com . Its my first attempt at this, so please bear with me. Any feedback would be welcome, and please contact me if you need further information, or if you do something similar and want to share notes.
